The Sphincter Chronicles - I read a book review titled “At Day’s Close: Night in Times Past” that began “A man has written a book about the night. Why not? We’ve seen books on pencils, bookshelves, tobacco, cod, salt, spice, blood, bread, caffeine, crying, the penis, the breast, boredom, smiling, the hand, and masturbation.” I began to notice many such books. And I thought two things: 1) All the good parts/nouns are being snatched up and 2) There might be some opportunity for parody.
